Spring Break Forever Podcast

Jul 8, 2014

Summer is here, good jams are coming from all directions, and the search for this year's perfect hot weather beer is on!  It's a lovely season to try out some wheat beers, shandies, and/or session ales as the guys run down 45s by Mac Blackout, Mary Monday & the Bitches, and The Crypt Keeper, plus LPs by The Shivvers, Pookie & the Poodles, and Warm Soda.  You might need at least a 6-pack to make it through the Styx album featured in this installment of Bobby's Crap Corner.  And you may wonder if your drink was dosed when you check out the psychedelic stylings of a certain Frankie Valli 45 that The Colonel has deemed to be a dollar bin diamond.

Also in this episode: The Colonel attempts to deliver a "state of the podcast" address, and in true spring break fashion is made to drink during this speech.  Stache(less) decides he would now like to be referred to as "Snacks Anderson."  Bobby's obsession with the movie "Streets of Fire" extends to Jim Steinman's excesses in the soundtrack.  The Colonel makes reference to the sci-fi tinged video for "Loverboy" by Billy Ocean.  Gonerfest 11 buzz begins with first lineup announcements.
