Oh no, we’ve said too much… This is a marathon episode of SB4E with more than our usual quota of music and beer talk. But when it’s this cold out, a damn good time can be had drinking some brews and checking out killer records such as:
-Matthew Melton "Outside of Paradise" LP (solo demos from Warm Soda/Bare Wires mastermind)
-Talbot Adams "Green Girl" 7" (Black and Whites/Dutch Masters alumnus making more great solo pop)
-Capital City Rockets LP (70s stompers from Ohio)
-Sweeney Todd "Roxy Roller" 7" (Canadian glam featuring Nick Gilder and Bryan Adams?!?)
-Ty Segall "Mr. Face" EP (parenthetical aside probably unnecessary)
-Neil Norman "Phaser Laser" 7" (crazed 70s psych)
-Michael Hayes "Badstreet USA" 7" (rasslin’ rawk!)
PLUS: The Colonel and Slacks pull a switcharoo, bewildering Bobby. Lite beers all around! It’s an on-air taste-test of a sixer of Rammer Jammer (from Alabammer). Bobby Hazzard is un-enthused with the 2015 Royal Rumble and/or most any Keanu Reeves project. Slacks thinks at least one of the records we review sounds kinda like at least one of U2’s hits from the 90s. "Twinkle ding dong music" is explained as a rock subgenre.
